1. Admissions Policy

1.1 Students whose father or mother holds a foreign passport with the resident permit issued by Shanghai or a permanent residence card issued by the Ministry of Public Security. 

1.2. Students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan of China or father/ mother from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan of China (Parents need to provide documents shows that they are working or living in Shanghai）

1.3. Students with foreign passports with a residence permit issued by Shanghai or a permanent residence card issued by the Ministry of Public Security (Parents need to provide documents shows that they are working or living in Shanghai)

1.4. Students who was born overseas (both parents hold the Chinese passport without permanent residence from other countries, and the child holding the foreign passport without visa issued by China does not meet the admissions policy.);

* ‘People's Republic of China Travel Document’（旅行證） and ‘People's Republic of China Exit and Entry permit’（通行證） are not visas.

1.5. Students who hold the approval from the Education Commission

1.6.  Students who applying for the Grade 1(2023-2024 academic year) should turn into 6 year old by 31st August 2023.

2.1. 2022-2023 Spring semester

2.1.1 Elementary School（ES）: Grade 1 and Grade 2  

2.1.2 High School （HS）: Grade 9

3. Application Process

3.1. Please complete the online application form first.

Find  the ‘Application Entry 申請(qǐng)通道’ on the home page of our official website.

3.2. Admissions office will contact you via mail in one week for the next step (The materials will be different for different families，Please follow the instruction by Admissions office).

3.3. The materials (Hardcopies) to be submitted before the Deadline provided by Admissions office

3.4. Entrance Exam (Three subjects: Chinese, Math and English)

3.5. Family Interview

3.6. Applicants need to be informed of the following issues:

Fudan International School can help with student visas only if the student’s age is 18 or above.

If there are no spaces left at FDIS, students will be put on the waiting list.
